The Seafair Story

For more than seventy-five years, the Seattle Seafair Clowns have been bringing laughter, smiles, and a touch of joyful mischief to communities throughout the Pacific Northwest. What began over 75 years ago as a small group of volunteers participating in Seattle's beloved Seafair celebrations has grown into a cherished tradition that continues to brighten lives year after year.

Today, the Seattle Seafair Clowns proudly serve as ambassadors of fun, friendship, and community service throughout the Puget Sound region. While many people know us from parades, festivals, and community celebrations, our mission extends far beyond the streets of Seattle. Throughout the year, our members visit hospitals, senior centers, care facilities, and charitable events, sharing laughter with those who may not be able to attend public festivities themselves. We believe that a smile is one of the simplest and most powerful gifts a person can give, and we are honored to bring moments of joy wherever they are needed most.

As one of Seafair's long-standing volunteer organizations, we are proud to be part of a tradition that celebrates the people, neighborhoods, and communities that make the Pacific Northwest special.
